Scar Correction

Any traumatic event that breaks or injures the skin can result in a scar. Disruption of the even appearance of the skin can impact patients emotionally and leave unattractive marks.  There are several types of scars:

• Hypertrophic or keloid scars
• Atrophic or “stretch mark” type scars
• Acne scars
• Burn scars

Whatever the injury or condition that caused the scarring, there may be an option to improve the appearance. After evaluation, a treatment course can often be initiated including:
